Educational Qualification

General FitterThe candidate should possess ITI & NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in Fitter / Fitter General or ITI in Fitter / Fitter General.
Electrical MechanicThe candidate should possess SSC with ITI in the Electrician trade.
Commercial AssistantThe candidate should possess a Degree in any discipline. They should be conversant with typing on the computer and handling computer applications like Word / PowerPoint with 01 year certificate course in computer applications.
Technical AssistantThe candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years full-time Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical/Shipbuilding/Production/Fabrication Engineering from a recognized university/ Institute.
UnskilledThe candidate should possess SSC
FRP LaminatorThe candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years full-time Diploma in Shipbuilding Engineering / Mechanical Engineering having FRP as an elective subject in the course curriculum from a reputed and recognized Institute/University.
EOT Crane OperatorThe candidate should possess SSC with ITI.
WelderThe candidate should possess ITI & NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in the trade of Welder or ITI in the trade of Welder.
Structural FitterThe candidate should possess ITI & NCTVT (National Apprenticeship Certificate) in Structural Fitter / Fitter / Fitter General / Sheet Metal Worker trade.
NurseB.Sc. Nursing or Minimum 2 years full-time Diploma Course in Nursing & Midwifery from recognized Institute / Board / University.
Trainee KhalasiThe applicant should possess SSC with ITI in Fitter/ Fitter General.

Post Qualification Experience

General FitterThe candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the line.
Electrical MechanicThe candidate should possess a minimum of 02 years of experience as an Electrician in Electrical projects/maintenance.
Commercial AssistantThe candidate should have a minimum of 01-year experience in handling communication with commercial firms in medium / large size Shipbuilding / Heavy Industries
Technical AssistantThe candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in any reputed shipyards specifically in the field of Fabrication and construction of ships OR a Minimum of 2 years of experience in the line. Exposure to the knowledge of systems pertaining to commercial/purchase and procurement procedures in the shipbuilding industry OR Minimum 2 years relevant experience in the fields such as Stores /Inventory/ Logistics /Supply Chain Management.
UnskilledThe candidate should possess a minimum of 1-year of experience in the line.
FRP LaminatorThe candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the line
EOT Crane OperatorMinimum 2 years experience as an EOT crane operator with exposure to working at height, maintenance of variable frequency drives (VFD), and PLC.
WelderThe candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the line.
Structural FitterThe candidate should possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in the line.
NurseThe candidate should have two years of working experience in a hospital or Government / PSU medical center.
Trainee KhalasiPreference will be given to those candidates who have undergone National Apprenticeship Certificate(NAC) from Shipyards

Age Limit (as on 31-03-2021)

The upper age limit will be considered as on 31.03.2021.

  • The Maximum Age for UR and EWS category candidates is 33 Years.
  • For OBC category candidates is 36 Years.
  • Age Limit for SC/ST category candidates is 38 Years and for PwD category candidates is 43 Years.
  • Age relaxation for ex-servicemen as per GOI guidelines.

Goa Shipyard Recruitment 2021 Selection Process

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their educational qualifications, experience, and age limit.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for Written Exam or Direct Interview and will be communicated through e-mail.
