INCOIS Project Scientist – III, Project Scientist -II Notification Info

Project Scientist – III: 12 Posts

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Meteorology/ Oceanography/ Atmospheric Science / Climate Science/ Physics/ Geophysics with specialization in Meteorology/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Earth System Science and Technology or related discipline from a recognized university. OR Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/ Technology in Civil/ Mechanical/ Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized university. AND at least 60% marks in Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology AND Physics or Mathematics as a subject in Bachelor’s degree AND, Seven (07) years research experience in the field of Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology / Oceanography/ Remote Sensing/ GIS with familiarity in Data Assimilation/ Atmospheric or Oceanic Model/ AI, ML techniques in weather & climate science.
• Salary Details: Rs. 78000/- Per month

Project Scientist -II: 26 Posts

• Qualification: Master’s degree in Meteorology/ Oceanography/ Atmospheric Science/ Climate Science/ Physics/ Geophysics with specialization in Meteorology/ Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/ Earth System Science and Technology or related discipline from a recognized university. OR Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology in Civil/ Mechanical/ Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized university. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/ Technology in Civil/ Mechanical/ Computer Science or related discipline from a recognized university. AND at least 60% marks in Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology AND Physics or Mathematics as a subject in Bachelor’s degree AND Three (03) years research experience in the field of Atmospheric Science/ Meteorology/ Oceanography/ Remote Sensing/ GIS with familiarity in Data Assimilation/ Atmospheric or Oceanic Model/ AI, ML techniques in weather & climate science

Project Scientist – III: 2 Posts

• Qualification: PhD in any of the above-mentioned subjects, Research experiences in numerical modelling of the atmosphere and ocean, data assimilation, climate modelling, statistical analysis of weather and climate data supported by publications in journals and reports, Ability to design and conduct numerical experiments in HPCS(iv)Good knowledge and working experiences of data analysis tools viz, GrADS /IDL / MATLAB/ Ferret/ R/ CDAT etc, Ability to conduct workshop/ training program and preparing related contents. Good skill in project/ product management and coordination
• Salary Details: Rs. 78000/- Per month
• Age Limit: 45 years

Project Scientist -II: 6 Posts

• Qualification: Ph. D. in any of the above-mentioned subjects, Research experiences in numerical modelling of the atmosphere and ocean, data assimilation, climate modelling, statistical analysis of weather and climate data supported by publications in journals and reports, Working experience in data analysis tools viz, Gr ADS/ IDL/ MATLAB/ Ferret/ R / CDAT(iv)Ability to conduct workshop/ training program and preparing related contents., Good skill in project/product management and coordination.
• Salary Details: Rs.67000/- Per month
• Age Limit: 40 years
